Kathryn M. Hardin, President and Founder.

Kathryn Hardin, M.S. CCC-SLP founded SpeechSouth in 2004 to provide speech and language therapy to children in metro Charlotte, NC and the surrounding area.

Kathryn obtained her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Georgia.

Kathryn has experience with children in home, school, day care, and office settings. She has also spent time working with adults in the acute care setting.

Kathryn holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech Pathology and is licensed by the North Carolina Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology. She is also a member of the industry's national association, the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).

SpeechSouth's General Policies

Payment Policy:
Payment is expected upon receipt of invoice. All checks should be paid to the order of SpeechSouth, Inc. Please communicate with our business staff prior to receiving services if you would like to access your insurance benefits. The patient is responsible for any payment for services that an insurance company or other state program does not cover.

Privacy Policy:
Copies of all written communication (evaluation reports, letters to physicians) are automatically shared with parents. With written permission, copies of such reports can go to other professionals, including the pediatrician, the school, etc. All information is treated confidentially. Cancellation Policy:
SpeechSouth requests that cancellations be made within 24 hours of the scheduled treatment session. Repeated cancellations may result in either forfeiture of permanent appointments or termination of service. Unforeseen circumstances are anticipated and will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
